How to become Help staff
Members, moderators and owners earn their rank by being a trusted, active presence in Help and by showing they can handle situations well. Here is what it takes.
Requirements
- Know xat well enough to answer the problems and questions people bring to Help.
- Follow the rules. People who frequently break them will not be considered.
- Stay professional, help consistently and be active in chat.
- Members are promoted for excellent, determined helping and moderating.
How ranks work
- Members may be made temporary moderators when the chat needs it.
- Moderators and above can set scroll messages and use moderation tools.
- Members and above can use protect mode with
/pand/pr. - The longest moderator ban is 24 hours, or 28 with powers.
